We are a Rough collie kennel and only breed on a small scale. Our collies are first and foremost family dogs, as the breed responds best to plenty of contact with people. Locked up in cages they will be very unhappy. Our dogs live as family members in the living room. The result being there ability to relate well together as a pack..
In our breed we strive for dogs which can move effortlessly and for this reason our Collies must be well constructed. Moreover they need a good character so that they can also work well in agility etc.....
Pups are born in the living room. They are well socialized being reared amongst the normal sounds and smells of everyday family life.
Our pups also become socialized under the guidance of their mother and our other dogs. Contact with children also becomes part of their education. Of course the new owners must go further, and we offer assistance giving all the help and advice we are able.
Parents are examined for hip and eye disease.
